Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Local and session storage save small pieces of data so a page can remember things (like your answers in a tool). Analytics tags measure how the site is used. We group all of these together here.

Strictly necessary and functional (always on): first-party browser storage that saves your "find-help" wizard answers so you can return without starting over, remembers your tool progress, and records whether you dismissed the 911 safety banner. Your injury-journal notes are stored on your device only and are not sent to us. Blocking this storage may stop the wizard and tools from remembering your progress.

Analytics (opt-in): we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-3SEJY06HV0) to understand how the site is used - which pages and tools people use - so we can improve it. Analytics is OFF by default and loads only if you choose "Accept" (or enable Analytics) in our consent banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, and your choice applies to this browser on this device. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, analytics stays off automatically.

Marketing / advertising (not used today): AccidentPath does not set advertising, retargeting, or ad-personalization cookies, and does not sell or share personal information with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising through cookies. If we ever add advertising cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

Google Analytics 4 may set analytics cookies (for example _ga, _ga_*). Vercel (our host) may set operational and security cookies. Supabase may set an authentication cookie only if a feature uses a logged-in session; the public site needs no login. We do not control third-party cookies; review each provider's privacy policy for details.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Blocking strictly-necessary storage may stop the find-help wizard and tools from remembering your progress. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting and a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We do not respond to DNT because there is no common industry standard for it. We DO honor GPC: when your browser sends it, analytics stays off and your information is not sold or shared. You can also make or change these choices any time at accidentpath.com/do-not-sell.

California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information collected through tracking technologies, and to know what is collected and to delete it. See our Privacy Policy and the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control in our footer.

If we add or change cookies (for example, add a consent banner, session-replay analytics, or advertising pixels), we will update this page and its "Last updated" date and, where required, ask for consent again.
